Fight the system! Learn to make system change for those you support and serve
Make systemic change for the communities and people you're here to support.
A self-paced, online course for advocates, allies, change makers and circuit breakers. Learn how to make sustainable change at a structure and system level, instead of scrapping it out with the symptoms.
This short, online course is designed to help amplify the impact you have for the people you're here to serve. Whether that's tāngata whenua (people of the land) or another group with system structures stacked against them, Fight the system! is a self-paced, 4-8-week course focused on real-world techniques and tools to make system-level impact.
This course is for anyone committed to making a system change especially those working for equity or inclusion. Benefit from the Mātauranga Māori (indigineous wisdom) contained in pūrakau (traditional stories), as well as Pera Barrett's hands-on experience as a leader in the community, iwi, technology and health equity fields.
Hear from Pera, designer and developer of Ngā Taura a Māui - the ground-breaking approach for applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi in Health and Technology, founder of Shoebox Christmas Aotearoa and Koha Tree, on the lifecycle of system change, from creating better relationships with those you're here to serve and support, to identifying levers for system change, all the way through to auditing and adjusting your time to have the impact you're here to make.
Guided by Pera, you'll work through a series of modules and exercises to amplify and sustain the outcomes you're so passionate about improving.
You'll receive exclusive access to exercises and resources that blend theory with real-world applications to address systemic issues rather than superficial symptoms. This is not a course on applying band-aid fixes!
Key features of this transformative course include:
- Interactive Learning: Engage with dynamic modules that use storytelling and indigenous wisdom to address systemic barriers.
